Email Client Setup for WTXS.NET Users
  1. Outlook Express Users
    1. Open Outlook Express
    2. Click on the Tools button on the top of the screen
    3. In the new menu click Accounts
    4. This will open a new window called Internet Accounts, click the Mail Tab
    5. On the Mail tab you will see your email account ie: mail.wtxs.net. Click on this mail account so that it is highlighted and then click the Properties button on the right of the window.
    6. You will now see a properties window with multiple tabs up on the top of the window, click on the Servers tab
    7. The settings should reflect the following:
      1. Incoming mail server is: POP3
      2. My incoming mail server: pop.wtxs.net
      3. My outgoing mail server: smtp.wtxs.net
      4. Account name: this was once just the first part of your email address <your full email address> ie: user@wtxs.net
      5. Password: <your email password>
      6. Under Outgoing Server at the bottom – Check the checkbox that says “My server requires authentication”
      7. Click the Apply button on the bottom right then click OK
      8. Click the Close button on the Internet Accounts window
      9. You can now check your email as you usually would.
  1. Incredimail Users
    1. Follow the instructions above for Outlook Express it is the same procedure in Incredimail.
  1. Outlook 2k? Users
    1. Open Outlook
    2. Click on the Tools button on the top of the screen
    3. In the new menu click Email Accounts
    4. On the new window select Edit an Existing Account
    5. On the configuration page change the Incoming POP Mailserver to: pop.wtxs.net and the Outgoing SMTP Mailserver to: smtp.wtxs.net
    6. You will then change the account name on the bottom right to your full email address
    7. Click the More Settings button on the bottom right then click the Outgoing Server on the new window.
    8. Check the box that says My Incoming Mail Server Requires Authentication then click the OK button.
    9. On the configuration page click Next then click the Finish button and your email is set
  1. Thunderbird Users
    1. Open Thunderbird
    2. Click on the Tools button at the top of the screen
    3. In the new menu click Account Settings
    4. This will open the configuration page for your email accounts, click on the server settings for your WTXS account on the right menu
    5. Change the Server Name to pop.wtxs.net and the User Name to your full email address
    6. On the left menu select Outgoing Server (SMTP)
    7. Select your wtxs.net outgoing mail server from the list and then click the Edit button
    8. In the new window change the Server Name to smtp.wtxs.net and check the box for Use Name and Password, for the User Name enter your full email address and then click the OK button.
    9. On the Account Settings window click the OK button and your email is setup correctly.
